FAQs

It is critical to keep your pet up to date on all vaccines, as these will offer your kitten or puppy the protection they require to grow into healthy adult pets.

Vaccinations can provide you peace of mind, knowing that you've given your cat and dog the best opportunity for a happy and healthy life. Vaccinating your pet protects and strengthens their immunity against a variety of potentially life-threatening diseases. You're also lowering the chances of them needing additional veterinarian care.

When it comes to vaccinations, dogs, cats, and bunnies all have different requirements.

Puppy vaccinations usually consist of two injections spaced out over a 2–4-week period, with the first injection occurring at the age of eight weeks and the second injection occurring at the age of around ten weeks.  They will be fully protected a few weeks after receiving their puppy injections and should be kept within your home and away from other animals that are not your pets at home. Your dog will thereafter require annual dog booster injections to preserve the protection provided by their puppy vaccinations.

Cat vaccinations usually consist of three injections, with the first given at 9 weeks of age, the second at 12 weeks, and in rare occasions, a third vaccine at 15 weeks of age. These kitten injections consist of Nobivac FeLV to protect against Feline Leukaemia Virus, and protection against cat flu and Feline Parvovirus. It will take around a month for your kitten to be totally protected after the final injection.  To retain their protection, cats will require annual immunisations in the form of a booster shot.

Vaccinations for rabbits can begin as early as 5 weeks of age. They'll need two or more injections during their initial rabbit vaccination course, followed by yearly boosters to keep up to date on their protection.
